Flomax vs. RapafloI tried flomax for two weeks and the side effects were worse than the prostatitis It lowered my blood pressure to the point where I almost passed out. An almost unbearable sinus congestion, and I broke out in hives. I told my urologist I'm allergic to sulfa, and he prescribed flomax anyway. Flomax contains a form of sulfa. Needless to say I stopped taking flomax. My urologist wants to put me on rapaflo. What are some of the wonderful side effects I can expect with rapaflo? I'm beginning to think there's something else going on besides an enlarged prostate and when my doctor examined my prostate, he said it was only slightly enlarged. Any information regarding rapaflo is appreciated. Thanks.
Re: Flomax vs. RapafloI have also switched from Flomax to Rapaflo and found that I like Rapaflo better. It takes about 3 or 4 days to start working and about 6 or 7 days to take full effect. I do have a stuffy nose for about the first 2 week. This slowly gets better over time. I had reduced semen with Flomax, but Rapaflo had total retro ejaculation. I have read that this is a sign that it is working. It was strange at first, but my wife liked not having the mess. Orgasms are weaker than normal. If you can get past not having semen come out, it is a better drug. An other side affect is a larger penis. Rapaflo seems to relax the muscles that keep the blood out. The increased amount of blood makes the penis hang down longer than normal for me. Over time I did see a small increase in size even when I stopped taking it. I also have less back soreness and less fatigue taking Rapaflo than Flomax too.
If you have had similar effects from Rapaflo, please post them.
