7mm stone surgery and still in pain

Post a new topicby CBertsch on Sun Jan 10, 2010 9:02 pm

I went to the ER in severe pain the ER dr told me I had a 7mm kidney stone and sent me home with pain killers and funnel with a screen, a week later I went to my regular dr who said there is no way i could pass that stone and sent me to a urologist, another week later i had surgery to remove the 7mm stone, when they blasted it and went to flush it out a big chunk went back into my kidney(the dr not realising it), the dr said they got everything, well a week later i found myself back in the emergency room and in severe pain. having another CT scan done, much to my surprise the ER dr came in and told me i had a kidney stone lodged in my right ureter and it had puncture the tube and i had waste leaking out of it, so off to surgery i went again. this time my urologist said he went and collected it and used the scope and said he got everything this time and everything is good. now 8 weeks later i am still hurting and after a renal ultrasound and IVP i am told i have obstructions and blockages, the dr said it could be severe scar tissue and that i have to have a renal scan and possible more surgery, and that i may have kidney damage. Is this normal???? was the ER dr right in sending me home in the first place and making me wait so long????
