Yesterday after a all my dye test and getting two thumbs I'm feeling human:)Well i'm not going to say it was a walk on the Beach but,27 days from the first procedure of a PCNL which was gaining access by way of my flank by a team of Radiologist to sitting here with-out ANY stones or one of those PAINFULL Dbl. J-Stents from a 4CM(Golf Ball) says alot!!!Any stone former out there that has had ESWL for a large stone(1CM+) and has gone through the Double J-Stents, all the KUB's and I won't even mention the Narcotics can understand approx 35 days is a great recovery time...My time was longer than most due to a j-stent that en-crusted after a mere 16 days! It required a Holman Laser and two hours to remove.The cost is an important issue and you need to be healthy enough for surgery but,I don't have any reason not to say GO FOR IT !!! "Get back to your life again! "
"It is just a Kidney Stone!" as I once heard from a health care provider..I really wanted to void just a tiny peice and Implant it in him for some insight to what we go through...lucky for him I didn't succeed!!! GoodLuck Everyone,Bruce
