New to forums? Learn More Before Getting Started Morton's NeuromaMBT SHOES????Have any of you tried these? I just got a pair today and they feel soft and comfortable. When I took them off the floor felt like glass on my whole foot. I am feeling the effects of the cortisone shots now so lack of pain while wearing might not be best indicator till I know about the shot.
Anyway, any input would be nice to hear. Weesie
Re: MBT SHOES????I have had Mortons Neuroma for about 25 years - have been lucky in that until recently I have been able to cope with being careful about what I do.
I bought a pair of MBTs about 6 months ago. I have found them very good for helping but still get the pains and the inflammation is definitely still present. I am about to consider surgery for MN. However I am still very happy with the comfort of the MBTs
Re: MBT SHOES????I swear by my MBT sandals. They are really the only shoes I can wear for any length of time for walking, standing and working around the house. I still get the pain sometimes but the MBTs are the only shoe that gives me relief. I am on my second pair. If they ever stop making them, I don't know what I'd do.
Good Luck! I hope they work for you.
Re: MBT SHOES????Just to update you. I have been wearing my MBTs everyday since Feb 16 or 17. I have had a pain free week, but a little pain the last two days. I never was pain free since July before this. I am not sure how much to attribute to the shoes and how much to the cortisone shot. Whatever, it has been a nice reprieve from the pain. I'll update soon. Thanks for your response.
Re: MBT SHOES????I did forget to tell you one important thing.....I do apply a metatarsal arch to my sandal. It is a blue foam rubber pad which adheres to the soul. Without those I still experience a great deal of pain even with the MBTs.
Glad to hear you are doing better. Bee
Re: MBT SHOES????I just ordered these today for my husband after a suggestion from a pain management doc. We are hoping they provide relief, it has been a long haul, three and one half years, five podiatrists, one surgery and two cryo surgeries. Sounds like they help most of you with the pain.
Re: MBT SHOES????I bought a pair around 3 years ago. I find them great for walking, they really push you along, but weird for standing still, or going down stairs. I had a Neuroma around 2 yrs ago, controlled by orthotics & cortizone, and the MBT's were forgotten in the back of my closet. Took them out a month ago, and wore them for a whole day. The Neuroma came back the very next day. Could be coincidence, but the pain is terrific with those on.
